Adding a new investment entity
New investment entities are typically added during the online subscription process, where you’ll be prompted to register the entity you plan to invest through by providing details such as its name, type, and tax information. You can register a new entity every time you make an investment on the AngelList platform. You can also create a new entity at any time by visiting this link.
After you register an entity, it will appear as an option for future investments. Please note that while you can submit a commitment and begin the funding process using that entity, the investment can’t be finalized until all KYC and accreditation requirements are completed.
Editing an existing investment entity
After you’ve submitted your individual or investment entity details, certain information can still be updated. For example, you can update tax information – such as an EIN or SSN – at any time from your Taxes & Documents page.
However, some fields – like the entity’s name, type, or structure – can’t be changed after submission due to compliance and internal record keeping requirements. If you made an error or need to update specific details, please contact our support team.
If you’ve already made an investment using the wrong entity and need to change it after the fact, you’ll need to submit a formal interest transfer request. Transfers require approval and may involve supporting documentation.
