How can I control the information my LPs see about my Rolling Fund's investments?

Transparency into your fund's investments is an important part of keeping your subscriber base engaged. You can control what information about your investments your LPs can see directly in your Lead Dashboard.

Overview

  • All LPs can view the names of the companies the fund has invested into, unless you have explicitly chosen to hide them. You can hide an investment by navigating to the table of investments and clicking on the ellipses on the far right.
  • You can allow all LPs to view the overall value of your fund using a single toggle.
  • You can allow specific LPs to view individual investment amounts and values. As a reminder, you should only share valuation data with LPs you trust, and valuation data is always delayed by 90 days.

Company Names

On your Investing tab, you can view which investment names are visible to LPs by looking at the LP Visibility column. You can select to show/hide their investment names using the options in the ellipses on the far right. For investments that are hidden, LPs will not be able to see the name of the company, but they'll be able to see the investment amount and value, if you've enabled valuation data for their account.

Overall Fund Value & Individual Investment Amounts and Values

You can allow all LPs to view the overall value of your fund using a single toggle by navigating to your Fund Settings and clicking on the LP Visibility tab.

The toggle for Overall Fund Value determines whether your LPs can view the overall value of the fund on their Portfolio Dashboard.

You can also control which LPs can view individual investment amounts and values using the second toggle. Clicking on the toggle will reveal a list of your LPs, and you can choose to enable valuation data for specific LPs. Note that PCN members always have access to valuation data and are under NDA.

What do my LPs see?

If the LP does not have valuations enabled, they see something like this. For investments that you've hidden, the LP will simply see "Company" instead of the name of the company.

If the LP has valuations enabled, they see something like this. For investments that you've hidden, the LP will see "Company" instead of the name of the company, but they'll still see the amount invested and value of the investment.

Any LP who is enabled to view information about individual investments can also view the overall value of the fund.
