How does Meridian decide which opportunities I see?

Meridian uses your investor profile and preferences, together with GPs' audience settings and controls, to determine which opportunities appear in Invest. This applies to both SPVs and venture funds.

You don't see every active opportunity on Meridian. Instead, what appears in Invest is based on your profile and preferences.

Applies to both SPVs and funds

  • The sectors you selected
  • The geographies you selected (United States, International)

For SPVs

  • The investor list you chose under Deal flow (for example, Midas List firms or Institutional lead investors)
  • The startup stages you selected (Pre-Seed or Seed, Series A or B, Late stage / C+)

For venture funds

  • Whether you've indicated you're interested in venture funds
  • The fund stage focus, fund size, and manager experience you selected

GP controls

  • The GP must choose to publish an SPV or fund to Meridian
  • The opportunity must meet Meridian's eligibility criteria
  • The GP can set visibility so that only certain investors, based on profile information, can see the opportunity or request access

If a GP doesn't publish an opportunity to Meridian, or sets it to a limited audience, it won't appear in Invest. It may be visible only to investors whom they invite directly.

To widen or narrow what you see, update your preferences under Investor settings > Preferences.
