How do syndicates work in Meridian?

Meridian updates how syndicates function by separating your existing relationships from the discovery of new investment opportunities.

If you previously joined a syndicate, you’ll now see that relationship represented as a ‘Firm’ in your account. All your existing relationships remain unchanged, and those managers can continue to invite you to opportunities directly.

In addition to the firms you already belong to, Meridian allows you to discover new opportunities from firms you haven’t joined.

If you invest with a GP, you will join their ‘Firm’, which is the same as joining their syndicate in the previous experience. Current syndicate relationships will be maintained and transitioned to Firms.

Meridian gives you more control over the information you share with GPs on the platform.

GPs will control the investor audience opportunity. You’ll only see new opportunities from a GP if:

  • You’re in their Firm Directory (i.e., a Member), and
  • They’ve chosen to invite you to that opportunity or
  • They’ve published it to Meridian with visibility settings that include you.

Joining a firm does not guarantee access to all of their opportunities. Each GP determines which investors can view and participate in each SPV or fund.
