You need to meet one of the following requirements:
- Net income greater than USD $200,000 (or USD $300,000 with a spouse) in each of the two most recent years, with a reasonable expectation of reaching the same income level in the current year.
- Net “financial assets” greater than USD $1,000,000, either alone or together with a spouse. “Financial assets” means cash, securities, or a contract of insurance, a deposit or an evidence of a deposit that is not a security. “Net” means total financial assets minus total liabilities.
- “Net assets” of at least $5,000,000, either alone or with a spouse. “Net assets” means total assets minus total liabilities.
- An entity with “net assets” of at least USD $5,000,000. “Net assets” means total assets minus total liabilities.
- An entity that is entirely owned by individuals or entities that meet any of the requirements above.
