Under SEC regulations, individuals must be accredited investors and demonstrate sufficient experience to invest through Meridian. The Meridian Investor Application helps us understand your investing background and confirm your eligibility to participate in opportunities on Meridian.
As part of the application, we may ask about:
- How do you qualify as an accredited investor
- Other investor qualifications you have (e.g., professional experience)
- Your experience investing in private markets
This information, along with your investing preferences, helps Meridian determine which opportunities you may be eligible to view and supports our compliance obligations.
Do all investors need to pass the Meridian Investor Application?
Not all investors need an approved Meridian Investor Application.
If a GP personally invites an investor with whom they share a pre-existing substantive relationship, that investor can join Meridian and participate in the specific fund or SPV to which they were invited without completing the application.
However, investors who want broader access to opportunities through Meridian will need to complete the Meridian Investor Application.
