I tried to withdraw funds but received an error. Why?

If you’re having trouble withdrawing money from your account, here are some common reasons and steps to resolve the issue. Start by confirming your account balance, which is displayed on the top left-hand side of the page. Withdrawals are limited to the available balance in your account. If you manage multiple investing entities, make sure you’re viewing the correct one using the dropdown menu at the top of the page.

Next, check if you have any pending investments. Funds reserved for pending commitments are subtracted from your available balance, which could prevent you from withdrawing the full amount displayed. Make sure to account for any allocations tied to active investments before proceeding.

If the issue persists, your account may require additional verification. Withdrawals to accounts without a transaction history or clear relationship with your investing entity can also trigger compliance blocks with our banking partners. To comply with regulations, we can only process transactions with external entities that have completed KYC verification. For assistance, contact accounts@angellist.com.
