When committing to the fund through the online closing flow, investments are “e-signed,” so there are no traditional countersigned documents. Instead, LPs are issued an e-signature certificate, which is valid under the U.S. Federal ESIGN Act of 2000 and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. As a result, a Signature Certificate, a GP Acceptance Page, and Final Investment Documents with the GP’s signature on the relevant page(s) are provided through your investment porta.
To locate and download these documents:
- Navigate to Your Portfolio: Log in to your AngelList account and scroll down to the Investments section, where all your individual investments are listed.
- Select Your Investment: Click on the specific investment you want to view. This will open a separate investment details page.
- Download Relevant Documents: On the investment page, look for the “Final Investment Documents” button on the right-hand side. Click it to download and view the subscription documents you e-signed.
- Review Signature Certificate and Acceptance: Below that, you’ll find the Signature Certificate and GP Acceptance Page. These documents serve as your digital signature and confirm your commitment to the fund.
Note: If your documents were completed offline, they were likely provided to you via email during your commitment process.
