How do I confirm whether my investment is complete?

Tracking your investments is straightforward with clear transaction tracking and deal status updates at every step. Below, we’ll explain key terms to help you navigate the different stages:

On the Funding Accounts page:

  • Pending Balance: A negative balance marked as “Pending” indicates an outstanding capital call. Once AngelList receives your funds, they are automatically applied to the investment, clearing the negative balance (unless you’ve requested to deactivate this feature).
  • Deposit: When you transfer money into your account, the transaction appears in gray and is labeled as a “Deposit.”
  • Investment: Once enough funds are in your account to fulfill the capital call, they are automatically applied (unless you’ve requested to deactivate this feature), and a new transaction appears in green labeled as an “Investment.” At this point, no further action is required from you to complete the investment.

If you see a banner at the top of the Funding Accounts page with a required deposit amount that differs from the pending balance, this is likely because it reflects the difference between your outstanding capital call and the available funds in your account. Once your account balance reaches the required amount, AngelList applies the funds to the oldest outstanding capital call.
