What types of investment entities can invest through AngelList?

We can accept investments from most types of entities. However, to invest on the platform, an entity must be an accredited investor and complete KYC verification.

Common Investment Entity Types include:

  • C-Corporations
  • Individuals
  • Irrevocable Trusts
  • Limited Liability Corporations (LLCs)
  • Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs)
  • Limited Partnerships (LPs)
  • Non-US Corporations
  • Public Benefit Corporations (PBCs)
  • Revocable Trusts
  • S-Corporations
  • Sole Proprietorships
  • Checkbook IRAs (as LLCs)
  • Self-directed IRAs (SDIRAs) through these custodians

At this time, AngelList generally cannot accept investments from:

  • 401(k) accounts
  • Entities subject to ERISA
  • Entities subject to FOIA
  • Joint Tenants or other community property methods
