How do I change the primary email address of my account?

To update the primary email address associated with your AngelList account, such as when switching to a new work email or updating your personal information, log in and navigate to the Account Settings page. Once there, follow the instructions below:

Note: This process does not transfer account ownership. If you need to change the account owner – for example, due to retirement, a company departure, or a role transition – please contact us using this form. We will guide you through the necessary confirmation steps before transferring the investment entity to a new AngelList account.

  1. Add the New Email Address

    • At the top of the page, enter the new email address and click “Add Email.”
    • A verification email will be sent to the new address; it won’t be added to your account until verified.
  2. Verify the New Email Address

    • Log into the email account you just added, open the email from AngelList, and click “Verify email.”
    • The system will prompt you to log in using your original primary email address; follow this prompt to proceed.
  3. Set as Primary Email Address

    • After verification, the new address will appear as a secondary email. To make it your primary, click the three dots to the right of the secondary email and select “Make primary email.”
    • Confirm the change by entering your password.
  4. Delete the Old Email Address

    • Once the new email is set as primary, you can delete the old email by clicking the three dots and selecting “Delete.”

Following these steps will successfully update your primary email address on your AngelList account.
